A BIT ABOUT MYSELF...

Before I surfed I played Ice Hockey and Inline (rollerblades) Hockey. I represented NSW in Inline Hockey numerous times and played in the first Australian Women's Ice Hockey team in 1996. I also played at state level. Another thing that I was into was motor cross (I only recently sold my Honda CR125 to fund my latest surf mobile.) Water skiing was another passion. I had just learned to bare foot when we sold our boat.

Since moving to the Gold Coast (from Syney's Western suburbs), I've only wanted to surf. I began on an 8ft mal in January 2000. In 2001 I started riding a short board 6'10" then joined the gold Coast Girls Board Riders Club. I became president of the girls club in 2003. Currently I do spray's and art on surf boards (I'm a signwriter by trade).

MY QUIVER...

Steve really got my surfing going when he made me a 6'0"x 19"x 2 5/16" double flyer. My favourite boards and all rounders are my 5'11"s (x 18 x 2 3/16). They have deep single concave bottoms and rounded square tails. I also have a 6'2" that I ride on bigger days or sweepy points.

MY FAVOURITE SURF SPOTS...

Like every one I love surfing my local break, so for me it's the southern end of Palmie and the Alley. I also enjoy D-bah. I'd like to surf South Straddie more often but I hate the mission to get there.

MY FAVOURITE SURFERS...

Anyone that knows me would know my favourite surfer is Luke Egan. I like him because he is a powerful goofy footed surfer and appears to be a smart guy who consistently rates in the top 10. I also like Layne and the way she has pushed the profile of womens surfing to a whole new level.

SPONSORS...

Finch swim wear. I am really stoked to have them as a sponsor. They make the best swimmers that I have ever surfed in. The halter style tops stay on and the elasticity really lasts. They are also completely Australian made and produced.

PEOPLE WHO HAVE INSPIRED ME...

Heather Turland for being a mother of four and winning a commonwealth gold medal at age 38. Bethany Hamilton for not giving up and having the most positive attitude I have ever seen in a person. Russell Lewis for not only showing me what I'm doing wrong while surfing but teaching me how to fix it. Jackie Graham for being a great goofy footed surfer and maintain her very hectic lifestyle and Nicole Nevin who motivates me to surf in all conditions.
